History of The Run Around Ranch
The original Run Around Ranch was a working Nevada ranch back in the late 1920's - early 1940's. The main house (converted from a barn) was the grain mill for the valley's crops. The Run Around Ranch at one time was much larger than the 12 acres our rescue ranch sits on today. The Run Around Ranch is situated at the base of Job's Peak. The Eastern Slope of the Sierra range offers both rugged beauty and endless adventure. The branding iron from the original ranch still hangs on the three story massive brick fireplace in the great room of main house to this day. When we purchased the property with the intention of creating an interactive rescue and sanctuary for animals, we kept the original name. It is perfect.
